Checking your hours or working out what to book next?
Use this page to understand your current position before you spend money on a course. Three steps — check, choose, book.
- How many CPC hours do I still need?
- Do I need National or International?
- I am returning to driving — what is my next step?
- My CPC has lapsed — what do I do?
- Am I looking for periodic CPC or initial qualification help?
Check, choose, then book — in that order.
Drivers who check their position first avoid booking the wrong route or spending money they did not need to spend.
Step 1 — Check your record
Log in to the DVSA Driver CPC record portal to see exactly how many hours you have already completed and how many remain before your card expires. This takes two minutes and prevents unnecessary spending.
Check on GOV.UK →Step 2 — Identify your route
Once you know your hours, decide which route you need. National CPC suits UK-only professional driving. International CPC is the safer choice if there is any chance you will drive outside the UK — even if your current work is domestic.
Read the route guideStep 3 — Choose your dates and book
Once you know your hours and your route, go to the booking page, choose the dates that suit you, and send one clear request. Evening and Saturday options are available.
Go to the booking pageWhich route do I actually need?
Choose this if your professional driving is UK-only and you understand it does not cover international routes. Flexible 3.5-hour sessions from £24.99.
Choose this if there is any possibility of driving outside the UK — now or in future. Two linked evenings counted as 7 hours from £39.99.
Saturday sessions for Bus & Coach licence holders. National from £26.99. International (full day) from £41.99.
Check before you book.
- If your hours are partly complete, check your record before spending more.
- If your CPC has lapsed or you are unsure what applies, contact us first.
- If future work could include outside-UK driving, choose International from the start.
- If you need Module 1, 2, or 4 support — not periodic CPC — use the revision support page instead.
Hours and renewal questions answered.
How many hours of CPC do I need? +
Professional drivers need 35 hours of periodic Driver CPC training every five years to maintain their licence qualification. Hours can be completed across multiple sessions and do not all need to be done in one year. The DVSA portal shows your current total.
What happens if my CPC card expires? +
If your periodic CPC lapses, you cannot legally drive professionally until it is renewed. You will need to complete the remaining hours to restore your qualification. Contact us before booking if you are unsure about your current status.
Can I mix National and International sessions? +
National and International CPC training hours both count toward your 35-hour total, but the route on your licence depends on which training you have completed. Mixing routes can cause complications — it is generally better to stay consistent. If you are unsure, contact us first.
Is this page for periodic CPC or initial CPC qualification? +
This page and the booking system cover periodic Driver CPC — the 35 hours required every five years for licence maintenance. If you are looking for Module 1, 2, or 4 support for initial CPC qualification, use the revision support page instead.
Choose your dates and send your request.
Once you know your route, go straight to the booking page. Evening and Saturday options for all licence types.
