The honest framing about Return to Driving
You may have heard about the 1-day Return to Driving course DVSA introduced in 2025. We don’t offer that specific format — our consortium arrangement doesn’t include approval for it. But we offer something better for most drivers in your situation: the full Driving Restart that gets you back to a renewed DQC, not just back on the road.
What’s the situation
If your Driver CPC has lapsed, you’re not the only one — it’s a common situation, and a fixable one. The routes back can be confusing. Here’s what’s possible if you train with us.
Two tiers
Both deliver your training through our existing scheduled courses across three months — you’ll join our Tuesday/Wednesday evening and Saturday daytime sessions, alongside other working drivers. We coordinate which courses you join and when.
Courses Only — £170
All five 7-hour CPC courses scheduled into our existing sessions across three months. We coordinate your bookings, contact you with the dates, and confirm your DVSA record after each course. £170 all-in.
This is for you if — you’ve already got a job lined up and just need the hours done, but you don’t want to coordinate five separate bookings yourself.
Driving Restart — Full Service — £199
Everything in Courses Only, plus three months of personal support and job-search support. We don’t just train you — we help you get back to work. £199 all-in.
This is for you if — you’re returning to the industry and need more than just the certificates.
How this compares to booking separately
Five standard CPC courses booked individually would cost £175 (5 × £35). Our Driving Restart is £170 for Courses Only — a fiver less — with the coordination handled for you. Full Service is £199, which is £24 more than five separate courses to get three months of personal support and help finding work. For most drivers returning to the industry, that’s the easiest yes on the page.
What “Full Service” actually includes
- A structured conversation about your background and the work you’re looking for
- Introductions to operators in our network where we can make them
- CV review
- Help preparing for medical and DBS requirements
We don’t promise a job. We promise to put the work in alongside you for three months.
The honest limit
If your situation is more complex — multiple lapsed certifications, or you’re returning to the industry after several years — we may suggest you also speak to DVSA directly. We won’t sell you a course that doesn’t get you where you need to be.
